What's most frustrating for me is that my other half "freaks out" when he sees me cry or senses tears...I guess it's a guy thing and he doesn't know who to handle it. Plus, we're raising 2 boys...so he wants me to keep tears at a minimum..but sometimes I just can't hold back!!! At the end of the day I say it's OKAY to cry and I would rather have kids that I know it's okay to express emotion, that as boys they don't always have to play the tough guy role. Now if I could only get them to understand that you can't cry/whine about everything! haha Aubrey @53 Weekshttp://53-weeks.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5827368302522928667.post-457914970543707372014-10-29T13:38:48.196-07:002014-10-29T13:38:48.196-07:00so funny, the minute i walked in the door from pic...so funny, the minute i walked in the door from picking up the kids today. both children cried! so we had a big discussion on it already! but i'm sure we'll have another again soon! It is good that your kids see you show emotion, they should learn that its perfectly ok to cry! I think that we are supposed to model ways to express our emotions to our little ones. Now, if you don't want your child crying at everything, then I would try avoiding crying all the time. haha, But, I don't see anything wrong with it.
