Chocolate Chip (pudding) Cookies!

The Headlines:

Ever have a really good Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe?

Here's a secret ingredient that will make it even better!

Pudding Mix.

I love chocolate chip cookies.  I mean, really, who doesn't?  It's kinda like the equivalent of Apple Pie for Americans but in cookie form.

It seems everyone has a recipe they've been making for years.  I have one too.  It's fabulous but my goal here isn't to make you make it.  You could... it's an amazing recipe.  But my main goal is to make sure you start putting this in whichever Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe you choose to use.

That's right.  It's Vanilla Pudding Mix. They just give cookies and extra chewy, gooey goodness.  My friend's dad has done it for years and I finally tried it!  It's a winner!

Here's what you need:
1 cup butter, room temp
1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tspn vanilla
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tspn baking soda
1/2 tspn salt
2 cups semi sweet choc chips
1 box Vanilla Pudding Mix

Here's what you do:
Heat oven to 400 degrees.  With an electric mixer beat butter and brown sugar until blended.  Beat in eggs and vanilla.  In another bowl mix flour, baking soda, salt and pudding mix.   Blend that with butter mix.  Stir in choc chips.  Use tablespoon to scoop cookies onto buttered cookie sheet.

Bake until cookies are slightly brown on outside, about 6-8 minutes.  Let cool, then transfer to rack and chow!

If you want to use your own recipe instead of this one... feel free.  Just add the Vanilla Pudding Mix to your dry mixture and bada-bing!  Your kids will be eyeing the cookies all day just like mine!  WHO can blame them!?  They're gooooooood!
