Spring "Rice Krispie" Treats

The Headlines:

Who doesn't love Rice Krispie Treats?

Let's Springerize them!

Takes 5 minutes!

Every year, about this time I start getting the itch for pastels.  I decorate with them, I wear them and I kinda like to "bake" with them too.   You know, easy is my middle name.  Wait… that didn't… sound… right.  Bottom line, whatever I make/bake has to be simple!

Cue this recipe... if you can even call it that.  You're basically making Rice Krispie treats in Spring colors.  I did it for the first time for my son's Baptism Brunch, which was in the Spring, and it was a huge hit!  How can they not be?  Look how pretty they are:

Again, this is crazy easy, as Rice Krispie treats always are!

Here's what You Need:
11 cups of fruity pebbles cereal
4 tbspn's of unsalted butter
10 1/2 oz bag of mini marshmallows.

Here's what You Do:
In a large sauce pan,  melt the butter and then marshmallows…. add the cereal and mix.

Them put in a flat glass, greased 9" by 13"pan, let cool and cut.

If you want to get super fancy you can sprinkle with Thyme or mint. Otherwise, they just look like this!

Kids scarf them down and shhhhhhh… so do adults!

SO if you have an extra 5 minutes - whip these up for your next party, shower, heck - even play date - you won'tbe disappointed!!!
